Short-term and Long-term Goals

My short-term goal as a Ph.D. student is to develop the “Lello!” prototype into a utilizable instrument (whether paper-based or web-based) and then, once created, use it to study the relationship between students’ emotional states and cognitive processes. In the long run, I intend to continue my research after graduation as a professor and educational practitioner. I also want to instruct student teachers and equip them with solid theoretical knowledge and practical skills that will directly translate into better learning experiences for students. My ultimate goal in academia is to conduct studies and projects that contribute to rectifying educational problems that alienate students who fall on the edges of the bell curve.
